I made these rings for my here,Halloween dessert buffet and the "> Halloween segment I did a few weeks ago. But they are so beautiful, I thought I should do a quick “how-to” for anyone feeling the need for a last minute Halloween glitter spider ring. I’m sure some of you are out there that just HAVE to HAVE a homemade glitter spider ring? No?
Doughnuts. Baked doughnuts. I sold out and bought a donut pan. (technically not sure if I sold out, or just got really lazy? Or maybe just got really smart?)
This is the most wonderful soup. It is total comfort food. It reminds me of a soup my grandmother would have made- kind of old fashioned, hearty mid-western food, you know?

I’m not sure what is crazier: the monster leeks that came on my produce box, or the pasty whiteness that is my arm in Seattle in October. It’s a toss up.

They really wanted me to make something “Halloweeny.” And because Pia was involved, it had to be chocolate. I thought about my poor old whoopie pie pan that hasen’t been used since this.
It is officially Fall here in Seattle. We are still squeeking out the occasional cool sunny day, but we are getting a lot of this too: gray.
