Peanut Butter Kisses
December 10th, 2011
A little while back, I posed a question in one of my posts, “what’s your family’s favorite Holiday cookie?” I was pretty surprised that one of the standouts that I heard over and over again was Peanut Butter Kisses. Should I be embaressed that I have never even heard of these!? Probably.
When I put out a call for the recipe for these magical Peanut Butter Kisses, I was gifted with this recipe from the lovely Kieran Oaksmith, (reader and owner of this amazing store) which turned out to be amaaaaazing! Thanks Kieran!!
This is like a chewy, crispy peanut butter cookie with a sugary coating and a creamy milk chocolate center. HELLO!!!! Peanut butter and chocolate??? Mmmmmm…..
I think these will be added to our Holiday lineup. Cute and delicious- please try them. Soon.
Peanut Butter Kisses, makes 40
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
½ tsp salt
375 degrees
10 minutes
Makes 4 dozen
Preheat the oven to 375.
In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs and beat until fluffy.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the mixer and combine into a dough.
Scoop by the Tablespoon, and place into a bowl of sugar.
Roll in the sugar to lightly coat each ball, place on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
Add the Hershey kisses to the center, then put back in the oven for 1 min.
Remove from the pan and let cool. Enjoy!

I was excited to see this recipe! An aunt made them every single Christmas when I was a child and still does to this day.

These are delicious cookies and it’s fun to use different kisses for different holidays. Use the red and white striped ones for Christmas or for Halloween use the orange ones.

Cute tip, if you are mailing these, the tips break off, so what you can do is put them in upside down! That way they mail to family easier. Or for church’s for shut-ins or care packages.
I’ve also used Reese’s. Works great.
Glad you stumbled upon them!
