Popsicles

I thought of both kids and adults when I whipped up these beautiful popsicles for an Independence Day treat! I blended blood orange and pomegranate juice with blueberry and vanilla yogurts in star shaped popsicle molds for my attempt at red, white and blue. Even though I themed these out for the upcoming Holiday, popsicles are so easy and so versatile- both helpful when you are trying to please children and adults.

Most drugstores have popsicle molds; I got mine at my local grocery store (Uptown Metropolitan Market for you Seattleites). Pick your juices and or yogurts of choice and freeze away. If you want to try the multi-colored popsicles like the ones I made, just freeze them in 4-hour increments (less annoying and time consuming than it sounds!)

such a great idea, I’ve been wanting to make frozen yogurt for my son, I’ll try this for the 4th.

Thanks Shannon! Great right? then you can control the sugar and fat you are feeding your kids, right?
